Congratulations again, Deidre Havrelock!

Deidre Havrelock will be producing her children’s picture book, “Where the Buffalo Roam,” in cooperation with Banff as part of the plan to reintroduce bison to Banff National Park.

We have set our Wordherders cover image to a picture of the buffalo coming home, in honor of the Banff Bison initiative and Deidre’s book deal.

In the article, “The 5 Basic Elements of an Author Website,” Frances Caballo offers some unique insights into the design and content of an author’s webpage. The insight that stood out for me is to consider using an infinite scrolling format. She suggests that the format is well suited to authors of picture books and YA, as those audiences are well familiar with scrolling on their electronic devices. An infinite scrolling page may also be an advantage for viewing a site on a mobile device, getting rid of the need to hit tiny little links. Check it out!
