The year was 1955 when nine literary novelists united under one goal, “Improve literature in the Pacific Northwest.” And thus, the Pacific Northwest Writers’ Conference was born.

We take our members’ dreams to heart and work diligently to connect them with the resources they need to become successful authors. While we value face-to-face connection and education we also believe in enriching your writing life. After all, the creativity and discipline of storytelling is why we are all here in the first place.
